When & where has actual Marxism (per Marx) ever been “tried”? The happiest & most economically successful countries on Earth happen to social democratic countries eg. Denmark, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand. Australia & New Zealand now have the largest & richest middle-classes per capita on Earth. But you are right, they are merely socialist countries, not Marxist (yet). They also are direct democracies (i.e. the party with the popular & most votes wins) not pretend mediated democracy as in the US (eg you can get the most votes and still lose). Australia is also proudly a welfare state with free medical, university paid for, and unemployment benefits till you regain employment. It has a minimum wage of $24 an hour and some of the strongest workers’ rights in the world. The Economist recently reported that Australia has one of the strongest economies in the world and the most sustainable welfare system. I visited the US regularly. To be honest, comrade, compared to these socialist countries, it’s an absolute shithole. Cheers
